WRC 2011 on tv?

Featured Replies

Am I to presume its highlights are no longer being broadcast?

'Dave' certainly isn't showing it, and can't find it being scheduled on any other main stream channel either, unless someone knows differntly of course?

Quite like to have watched this weekends Swedish rally too, hey ho. :dull:

It is only on ESPN and MotorsTV.

Tonight Day 3 is on

21:45-22:15 on ESPN

22:35-23-40 on Motors TV.

I don't know if either will show highlights, I would imagine they will

Well that's the end of that then. :wall:

Doing absolutely diddly squat to improve its rapidly decling popularity.

Never ending repeats of Top Gear on 'Dave' it is then.

I'm not shelling out even more rapidly shrinking dosh ownership to just watch a dozen rounds of WRC, and a load of other old rubbish

Motors TV is included in the "News & Events" pack on Sky, but their coverage is ****. ESPN is better but it's £10 per month. Just like you, I think only the very die-hard rally fans will pay this.

Pay enough for a ruddy tv licence to watch very little now, without having to shell out even more.

World rallying is most sadly a dying sport now I fear.

Used to actually adore it back in the 70's - late 90's.

I've found the ESPN coverage on YouTube. It's easily downloaded onto a usb which I can then plug into my telly. The quality is pretty good too.

Try www.livescorehunter.com/, I thought I seen it mentioned

Cover of the Swedish Rally was quite good, think it was on Motors and therefore part of the Sky World package.

Worse still is the excellent Nascar coverage which was on Open Access Sky Channel 190 is now on PremierSport Channel 433 which is £6.99 a month but then there is a lot of coverage ie several hours and every weekend for the next 42 weekends.

The IRC coverage is on Eurosport I recall, Monte Carlo coverage was quite good. Disappointing to see Andreas Mikkelson, the Skoda UK Motorsport driver, having a knock in the first minute and putting him out and now we have to wait until 2 months until the next one. Again the coverage is with some great camera angles.

Cars are now 1.6 turbo so should be fun, just dissapointing that it is really 2 make in the WRC and 2 make in the IRC in the main competition and the other associated classes do not get that much coverage except via the web site, live timings etc.
