alloy wheels

Featured Replies

took my car to get new back tyre fitted yesterday but when

today i cleaned my car i noticed they have left scratches all round the wheels does any 1 knowe of stuff to remove the scratches from the wheels

If the scratches are not too deep I would try something like T-cut , use a dampened cloth and apply only light pressure checking whether you are making any improvement, follow by some slightly cutting polish like Autoglym. If the scratches are looking deep then you will have to live with them. I always watch tyre fitters doing their job and i inspect the alloys after the job is done. I had to insist on a replacement wheel once when one of the so called "tyre fitters" laid down my Passat wheel on a concrete floor face down forgetting that the spokes protruded slightly. The problem is that if you drive away and spot the damage later they are good at denying liability.

cosmetic wheel repairs are fine as long as you get all 4 done at once or it will never look right.

If the tyre fitters have damaged the wheel, take it back and tell them to sort it. Why should you have to pay out for their mistake?
