Coming down the A1 this evening I have been caught tonight by one of those beautiful safety devices called a speed camera (again) not money generating mind you!

Anyways question is does anyone use satnav/camera alert, road angel or similar? Can someone suggest a device worthy or spending some mmoney on?

I use a Microfuzion unit in both my cars, they are legal because they work by GPS, I have wired them in so they come on when the ignition is on, with a fused override switch.

I have a Road Angel Connected, It has a sim card inside so It up dates it self, no need for a Computer

Every camera that has flashed me (mostly in 30 areas where I may have been doing 35-36 absentmindedly) has never generated a ticket or fine. A large percentage are inactive apparently so you may be lucky.

Currently waiting for Notts police to send me a begging letter. They had a nice white van sitting 100 yards past the sign dropping from 50 to 40 on Friday. Whilst I know it is my own fault it is funny how both this time and the last time I was done just both happened days after crimes agianst me/swmbo that the police cant anything about. Found out on last Thirsday wife Credit card had been defrauded and last time I got a ticket in 2007 it arrived the same morning I was reporting that my car had been broken into and my stereo stolen. But as I say police cant do anything about those crimes probably cos they are too busy flashing motorist.

Yes, that's frustrating isn't it. The police hate to hear people saying "havent you got anything better to do?" and it is a stupid statement, but you can understand why people say it......

Cheers, mine was hand held so would be of no use for cameras, only use it on unfamiliar routes
