Progress Thread - My vRS so far

Decided to paint the brake calipers this weekend, got the local paint shop to mix up a tin of Pantone 348 which is the exact colour the calipers are painted, cost £7 so pretty good really. Anyway a simple job of painting the calipers never happened, ended up with calipers, carriers and disc off, used a wire brush on the grinder to take the rust/corrosion of the calipers and carriers then painted and refitted. The pads also had the rust taken off the back, the edges filed down as they were catching the discs and then regreased and fitted. Result nice green brakes and no more squeaking  Pictures to follow

They unscrew to a point but I ended up using a set of mole grips and pulling them out, was a lot easier that way tbh

That looks minted, yeah im going to decided once i've fitted the coolant tank this week

Might be easier to do before fitting, save having to refill the system again? Meant to say too - theres a small trip in the side near the engine to check the level with - might be something to consider.

Yeah thats a good point, i've left a small "viewing window" on the coolant tank so I can see what the level's at

If your going for a FMIC set up why not go for Samco boost pipes, could get them in red and saves you having to paint/powdercoat the original hoses
