stupid question re: shocks

Featured Replies

Got a possibly stupid question.... as always :p

I get (what feels to me like) a lot more body roll turning left than I do turning right. I'm thinking that this indicates a knackered shock absorber? front or rear?

Is this correct or am I wide of the mark?

Cheers

Martin

Could be shocks or spring, or maybe a knackered bush but you are more likely to hear that.

Do springs go 'soggy' after a while or are they fairly consistent until one day they snap?

the 'bounce' test is normal on all 4 corners as far as I can tell.....

Open bonnet and check that the gap between the spring caps and the turret is the same. If one of the spring caps is sitting down on the turret, then the spring on that side is broken.

Thanks. That's good advice. Will do.
