Yep , collected my new vRS yesterday. Rained the whole day - at least I could check for leaks !

The DSG gear box is fantastic - never driven an auto before - no problems driving it.

I am not sure if they updated the gear box computer chip , but the lag at setting off seems to be very little.

No wind noises - had it up to 75 make that 70 and whats more the glove box does not seem to rattle.

Followed "latte's" advice and got a 250gb hard drive - works perfectly. To me the sound system is much better than the one in the Mk 1 vRS.

The road holding is also far better than the Mk1 vRS.

Looks sweet bud. Was looking at black or anthracite myself but went red as needed car fast and black was a 3 month wait!! Enjoy it (I know you will)!

My previous vRS was black - so I picked a black one again - saves changing my signature

The only thing that worried me was the wheels - but they look great !

Thanks for your comments. I must admit it turned out better than I thought. It was difficult to find a picture of the black paint with the dark chrome wheels. The anthracite parts of the wheel are in shadow so the look black from a distance

Your seat belt harness pads are like mine..from eBay too

BUT

You have fitted them upside down!!

My seatbelt pads arrived this week and look good.

first bit of weight saving i did on my VRS was to remove the dealers sticker still on the number plates though

Completely forgot about the dealer sticker - I will replace it with a Briskoda one
