Superb arrived- well, almost!

Featured Replies

I recieved a phone call from Leasing company this morning saying they wanted to deliver my new Superb next week- imagine the excitement BUT....

Car was ordered through our leasing dept on 11th November last year - Superb 1.6CR twindoor in Rosso Brunello with Cruise control, reversing sensors and full heated seats.

My existing lease on Avensis runs until 22/4/11, and is with a different leasing company- so no chance of early delivery before that date.

Been given reg number of new car ( on 11 plate) so now have 8 weeks to wait knowing it is sitting taxed and registered. However strangly calm knowing that at least it is made, in the country and will be delivered on the orginal due date, which is better than not knowing if it will be delayed past expected delivery date (starting to sound like a maternity up date)

Only 59 sleeps to go

Find out when your company are starting payments for it.

If it is as soon as the car arrived at the leaseing co, or you company has already started paying for it, get it delivered and start using it, and park the old one up.

Great news that your car is on this side of the water awaiting your posession.

Best that you try to get the car home asap rather than it festering in a compound for several weeks.

Thanks Guys- order for Superb states not for delivery before 22nd April- I could take delivery prior to that, but I would need to pay for both cars- as we get a subsidised lease I would have to pay my employers share as well as mine for the Superb until first lease expirse in April- I cant justufy the additional cost just to park one or other of the vehicles at home, after all I can only drive one at a time.

At least I know the car is safely in the uk, albeit parked up at leasing companies expense for the next 8 weeks. In the meantime I can dream

Skoda still aren't able to explain how a car can be ordered 11th November and be built and ready to deliver by 22nd Feb, whilst my car was ordered over a month earlier but still hasn't been built.

I think i can explain... Skoda's ordering system is *&%$
