Door pockets - 10 second mod :-)

Featured Replies

Any pics redboy?

Just been to B&Q to buy a black tuft mat with latex backing for just under a fiver. It's thin enough to cut with a pair of sharp scissors or a craft knife. The mat measures 44x75 cms so plenty for all 4 doors. The latex backing should be "non-slip" enough to avoid glueing it in place.

Sri not yet Dezmonde, if I was technically aware of how to post them I could pop a snap on here tomorrow. Her indoors was scathingly indifferent (as they always are. Only caring if their shopping runabout is full of go-juice and "can you clean it? Or check the oil?" ) Little does she know that her keys and sunglasses will never slide around again!!

Ha ha like it.

Good idea guys, I'm going to do this for sure. Has anyone tried acoustic carpet, or is that a little too far?

If you want a reduction in road noise, it won't make much difference IMHO. Most noise comes through bulkhead/doors/floor etc AFAIK.

Great mod though-just done mine with black snooker table baize off ebay!! :giggle:

That looks a great idea. What did you stick it with?

Bostik spray adhesive. Car stinks for a day or so after, but fine now... :giggle:

Cool I'm going to order some. Just need to fix the squeaky jumbo box now...

I've purchased a roll of strong double-sided tape.

Off the bay it was only £5 for a really long roll.

Don't have the car to fit mine into yet - but should work a treat and without the glue smell :)

Good idea - I've just cut up her fur coat and lined all the door pockets with it.

(I get out of A&E next Tuesday)

lol

That is just too funny...the fur coat I mean, not the hospital. Talking of fur in cars, My dad lined the roof of a 1964 3.8 S type Jag with short grey fur in the early 70's. It sound's naff, he wasn't a pimp by the way, but grey mettallic paint and red leather interior seemed to make it right. Back to the pockets, it really does stop the annoying sliding around of keys and sunglasses.

Well if you have some left over post me abit. :)
