I bought an skoda fabia estate on tues and one of the engine mounts/sub frame bush's has worn it has only done 41k on a 05 plate my questions r these

1) how much r the bushes/mounts

2) should they have gone so quick ie with in 41k

3) what could of caused them to go and is there anything i should look for.

sounds like the console bushes.

the car has done well to get 41k out of the bushes lol common problem with fabias put some ibiza cupra console bushes in and worry no more

price is bout £20 for both bushes.

Console bush is the front suspension wishbone to subframe mounting at the rear of each wishbone. Early bushes had large voids and allowed too much wishbone movement and the bushes split after a couple of years in most cases. Revised part is much stronger.

Yes, check the wishbone rear spigot is central relative to the console metal housing. If it's off to one side the bush has failed.
