Pd100 remapp soon anything I've missed ?

Featured Replies

I've booked my pd100 i'n at r-tech for a remapp i'n 2weeks time

Like anybody else I want the most out the engine as it is

Realisticly I know I'm looking at getting around 135bhp

I would be really happy if I saw 150bhp

I've done a few mods to help me along the way

Uprated 57mm boost pipes

1.8t pancake pipe

Straight threw free flow exhaust

3bar map sensor

Will also be doing a full service

Oil,air,fuel filter and replace oil

Is there anything else I can do what I've missed that can help me achieve my goal ?

I had a PD105 in a Mk2 Octy with a unknown remap that i didnt know the car had.

Pulled 150bhp out, but it churned out smoke and the turbo didn't particulaly like it. (Brand new one wasn't looking too good after 5k, but a damn sight better than the one it replaced which ended up lodged in the catalytic convertor)

Fast, but not safe in my opinion

I'd say if your going for more power, id settle on 135bhp and be happy at that. I've a 140bhp 2009 Mazda 6 and thats plentiful for such a big car.

Yeah as you said if I was to get 150bhp I really would be pushing it !

From reading up on forums over the past couple of days

The only way forward for more power past 140bhp would be a bigger turbo which would be safe and reliable

So like you said I'll just hope for the best and see if I'm

Happy with the results

Mine had 141bhp with no issues at all

In fact she is still running well with over 204k miles on the clock

No EGR delete , no straight through pipe , no massive induction either

I had the PD160 with a Pipercross filter and also a map

I worked at Awesome , and that is who did the custom remap for me :)

Better fuel economy too :D o

Oh I do miss her

Sarah

My car did actually pull 160bhp on the Awesome rollers, but 150bhp at the wheels.

I think it was more like 150bhp at the flywheel to be honest, but hey ho. The map wasn't doing any favours.

Ask Ben and Oggy what my car was like coming away from one of The Snipe meetings, churning smoke out. But not too shabby on performance.

Another concern i've thought of, are the headbolts going to be strong enough?

I know the PD130 and PD150 have stronger headbolts, down to thinking of going down this route myself.

The idea was for a hybrid turbo and pd130 injectors, with a map and what ever needed to make it all work.

I couldn't be bothered with all the hassle of being advised to use stronger headbolts, so I gave up on the idea.
