looking like a nice list already! the B&B's fill up quickly.... If you fancy camping I would suggest dale bottom farm in keswick (google it) I have organised a camping meet a couple of year ago there, and they are very accomodating... if there are enough, poeople comming and camping at the same place, i would join them for beers BBQ's and fun :)

Is there a place to plug-in Straighteners, Iron, Microwave, and foot massager, not for me of course :rofl: just getting my orders........ :giggle::giggle:

lol... if your "swmbo" needs all that they do have static caravans with all amenaties for rent on site:)

I won't be able to make this unfortunately but will keep an eye on this thread to see whereabouts you go - we're camping in the area at the end of August and will be looking for some good roads to have a play on :)

I've requested the Friday and Monday off work but won't know until probably next week if it's approved, although it should be. I'll text Paige and Tigger to see if they're still interested, have you spoken to Gilly?

I have to say it's a great looking list already.

Just been out this evening with sharkrider and my brother to sort a final section of the route, and is now virtually finalised....looks good if I do say so myself.

Hey all, just been reading the thread, but can't quite work out what is going on with the camping side of things?

Anyone explain it to me please? Might be interested :)

No problem Stu.

As the drive will be starting at 7.30am I hinted to those who may be travelling a distance for this that they may want to camp or B&B on the Saturday night so they wouldn't have to leave their house at silly o clock to make the start time. Therefore some have decided to camp in Keswick on the Saturday night, others are going to camp maybe 3 nights (say Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Hope this makes sense, or if you don't want to start that early people are more than welcome to join the drive part way through.

So far about 4 or 5 definates for camping on at least the Saturday night from what I can make of those on the list.
