Hey all, just been reading the thread, but can't quite work out what is going on with the camping side of things?

As the drive will be starting at 7.30am I hinted to those who may be travelling a distance for this that they may want to camp or B&B on the Saturday night so they wouldn't have to leave their house at silly o clock to make the start time. Therefore some have decided to camp in Keswick on the Saturday night, others are going to camp maybe 3 nights (say Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Hope this makes sense, or if you don't want to start that early people are more than welcome to join the drive part way through.

indeed, I estimate so far for camping, me, davey and hannah, gilly and wibble, paige and tigger, Alan, Chris.. think thats about it for now, may try dale bottom farm, as we've been there before with success the more the merrier! I belive at least me and Alan may make friday sat and sun night, hope for more! beers, BBQ's ect, is all good fun , dale bottom allows gazeebo's too!

Wow this is looking epic now.

Time for a little update for you all. Did some enquiries regarding the food stop for lunch, estimated time 12.30pm. Got a price of £8.50 per person for 2 courses which is likely to be a main and a pudding. Will have a chat with them but early talk has suggested offering say a choice between 3 mains, say steak pie/thai chicken curry/vegetarian something, to allow the kitchen staff better chance of preparation and speed of service. Any special meal requests can be accomodated too. Also a real bonus in my eyes is as they know me well no deposit is required and I'll be able to give them more exact numbers nearer the time.

So how does that sound people? Any feedback for what people think of those food options greatly appreciated as they is plenty of scope for me to discus those options with them.

Also to aid in forward numbers for food could people add how many in their car are eating in brackets after your username. If just yourself you needn't bother and I'll class you as 1, thanks.

I have 2 choices for cap sites, was in a farm today (waiting for mountain rescue to bring me a patient and chatting to the owner, he has a "field" with toilets and a sink (not really a campsite) but we would probably be alone and able to get drink and have fun ect ect no annoying families ect, and its a cracking location, dead between honister and buttermere, or we could go more "sofisticated" and try dale bottom farm, which would be more expensive, and have "rules" and suchlike (plus we may not get in!) have a think about it and let me know

thats what I was thinking, and we could have gazeebo's BBQ's ect without worry too... its also cheap, and the drive there and back is worth it for a start!
