1. From cold - the engine sounds noiseier, stuttery and unrefined - is this just a symptom of the age / mileage of the car (2004 / 75k)?

2. Also, the cambelt (chain?) sounds rattley when accelerating in a slow gear.. (this is not just from cold, this is all the time) - anything to be worried about? Just sounds a bit crap!

Throttle body could probably do with a good clean. Only fix for timing chain is new chain and tensioner.

Should I change the chain? I heard that cam chains never need replacing? Cheers
