Audi coilpack recall, turned into official Skoda Recall.

Featured Replies

Maybe try a different dealer? I asked my dealer about it last week and they didn't have a problem finding the info about it (although the guy didn't know about it until he checked)

  • If you read down the thread "Anyway, the recall is to INSPECT the coil packs and POSSIBLY replace them on VW and Audi. Plus if Seat take this recall on, it wont be for ages. As there will be over a 1

i'm booked in on tues and my local dealer reckons it will take an hour and a half :S if they just give me the coils i could do it in under 15 mins i'm sure

check the coil packs to see which letter is at the end of the long number at least you will know which coil packs you have, they may have already been changed thats why skoda are saying nothing is showing on your registration unless they havent even botherd to check ether way its poor service from the dealer,

Well mine finally went in last Thursday. It went in at 9am had her back @ 5.

Its working fine. I even had a little look to see if they had actually done anything. They only needed to change 2 by the looks of things.

This 28F7 is still ongoing. Just phoned Telfords Carlisle this morning and booked mine in for Wednesday. I did get the impression the guy on the desk wasn't aware of it but he checked on his computer and it was there. They never asked to see the car I just told him it did have J two of and L one of he just said no bother ordered a set of coil packs in booked it in for an hour on Wednesday. I can't see what the fourth pack is though so I will update on wednesday

Sorry to revive a old thread but Im impressed that Skoda have agreed to still do this recall for my MK1 Octy Estate. dropping mine in this weekend at Skoda burntwood for the coil pack :)

Don't apologise, mine is now booked in for next Wednesday. Three to change as I've done one already. Thanks for the update/reminder.

Yep mine goes in next Thursday I've had to replace one myself but 3 new genuine ones will be a bonus.

And they're still doing them now to this day...mine is booked in Wednesday

Had mine done 2 weeks ago, on my 13 year old MK I, at Alex Lawrie, Liverpool. In and out in an hour complete with free mini valet.

has any one had any luck with this recently?

just rang my Skoda dealers and they have stated, no recalls are over due

?

So does that mean because the Service Campaign / Recall Action / TPI already carried out?

Not overdue if the records show as was required and carried out.

What about when you put your VIN here.
