Insurance quote for the next year is through

Featured Replies

£713 for a 24year old. The only thing that is modded is the suspension and that costs an extra £25 (inc in the £713). Not to bad. All the comparison websites are looking slightly similar or silly amounts more.

Might see if I can get it down to £650 or something like that.

im 24 too, mines £550 with tinted windows, strut brace and a front splitter. have you much no claims bonus?

3 years no claims bonus. The thing is, Northern Ireland drivers are ripped off compared to the mainland. It's always been that way and could always be

Who are you with?

J

bad news that mate, i'm with Admiral. was with Direct Line but they didnt allow modified cars if your under 25

if mines over a grand this year i'm not insuring it!

it was 1800 last year so don't think i'll be driving soon.

I know! Ach well. We all need insurance (even though there are alot that choose not to insure and put the price up for those that do!)

Cheers,

I've been getting quotes of £1300+ (TPF+T) and £1500+ (Fully Comp) for mine :'( . I'm 25 with 3 years NCB (4 years in April), no previous claims and a clean license.

I count myself lucky then :wonder:

How the hell do they expect people to pay those prices and also spend nearly £50 a week to fill your car up???

Sounds like it's been a tough time. Hope the renewal isn't to bad

How are everyones quotes so high? I'm 21, mine this year was 650 all mods included, wheels splitter tints! Got my renewal through from admiral about 2 weeks ago and was 600. Shopped around on go compare and it went as low as 487 with swift cover, fully comp and mods declared. Iv got 4 years ncb and a clean licence!

I've no idea. It can depend on the area you live in and the amount of thefts/claims there. There mustn't be to many in your area.

Haha yeah I suppose, live in north Yorkshire the only things you see on the road up here are sheep and the odd banged up Landy defender!

Cheers mate.

think i'll have a look on the compare websites as if i was going to renew

i'm with swift too.

19 years old £1080 as standard with 3 other cars on the same multi car policy. Each 4 of us are named the main driver on our own cars. It was £1800 on my own.

Mines £1100 with mods declared and 19yo mrs on it too. :-/

Matt

I'll not bother chipping in with my £325 all declared policy then :D

Only bonus is, at least all you're quotes will be getting less and less if you all behave :)

i'm 20 and i only pay £825. but thats on a 10 month bonus acelerator with elephant with 3 years driving 1 years no claims and an accident that i was at fault for.

I'm with swift cover and they don't allow any mods as far as I could see. I like the fact you can do everything online with them though, makes it so much easier than running up a massive phonebill!
