The injectors are electro-mechanical. The cam rockers do the high pressure pumping action, but injector solenoids do the modulation work. The wiring for these, sits inside the cylinder head, soaked in hot oil. It's a known but not common problem. Not the end of the World, the wiring is a short run, and it's not that big a job. Hopefully it IS the wiring and not the injector, you do not want to know the price of an injector for a PD engine.

£120 sounds about right, better than &600 for the injector :o

Heck, my next service is costing £800+

Full service/Brake Fluid change/Timing Belt/V Belt/Air, fuel, pollen filter/Four new Tyres (P Zero Nero)

It's only money  Car is coming up to 4 years old so it needs to be done. Tyres and timing belt are the biggies.

hope its not the injectors and just the wiring loom spend too much on this car lately lol

Moggy tech im in the same boat as you.

Just had 4 new p zero nero's, brake discs and pads all round, cam belt water pump and mot next week!

I bought the car for £9700 (£350 for revo remap) last april and has so far cost me a further £1100+

Lots of bangs and rattles a year later and add to that i think the turbo's on its way out. Would've been cheaper to buy the new vrs in the long run!

Cars, a love hate relationship

P.s sorry to jump on this thread, hope you get the problem sorted.

What were your symptoms of the stuttering ? Was it between a particular rev range or just all the time ?

My bro's car feels like its misfiring when you give it some welly lol

If it is an injector issue, you don't need to buy a new one, just get a refurb from a specialist.
