SKC on my 2009 fabia II

Featured Replies

I have both keys but just in case any get damaged I will need the SKC.

Not happy that I haven't been given it during an approved used sale but hey ho.

Just wonder if it might be worth casting an idea if anyone either knows it could be retrieved on such a late model 2009, or not ?

I only really need it if I break or lose the key but Im thinking of switching to a remote key upgrade so might try and get the immo chip out the old key (perhaps unsuccessfully and leaving me with one key only!)

Maybe I shouldnt risk it until I get the SKC but I'd fancy upgrading the missus key to a switchblade remote thats all

Also if anyone would do it for some beer cash saving me making attempts then thats something gratefully accepted.

You will need to find someone with specialist tools for a car as new as yours.

We charge £40 for SKC retrieval.

I don't think that it is supplied with the new cars these days. When the dealer codes new keys, it's all done via a computer link to the factory and the technician does not see the SKC.
