Stolen Surely??

thats one mad driver :o

Stolen Surely??

Could be a drive-off from the fuel station on the right at the start of the vid.

That's unbelievable and I'd have to say stolen although I've seen some pretty shocking driving over the years.

Maybe he's late for an extravagant wedding?

Maybe his child has just been ran over or his wife has gone into labour, may be his gran has fallen down the stairs and managed to ring his phone but went silent half way through the conversation?

I reckon 99 times out of 100 the driver is just being an arse but there will always be that time when someone does need to get somewhere quickly, it doesn't give you the right to drive like that but it could cause some people to drive like that.

It's why when someone is tearing down the motorway flashing people or undertaking I let them go on their way, not playing at policeman blocking them and slowing them down.

Good point. I remember rushing my youngest to hospital and doing exactly what you're describing. A Kia Sedona isn't the most nimble of vehicles but by God it shifted that afternoon. And almost everyone took your view that I must have a good reason and got out of the way with (seemingly) good grace; not a horn was heard.

Maybe he's just a prat!!

I wouldn't do some of those moves even under blue lights.

There's never a Policeman about when you really want one, is there?

Dave mate, there's no excuse for that sort of driving (in the video; on the m/way I'll let you go), because instead of getting there sooner, you're liable to not get there at all!

[serious] Kudos to the guy with the camera for managing to stay out of the way like he did. [/end]

shocking! Really really shocking! What would have happened if someone was coming through that juction at the same time.

Have to agree probably running after not filling up (cant blame people at the stupid prices fuel is now at) and possibly thought the vehicle behide with the camera was a police van? (it happens often in the octavia had a few sudden off junctions/side road put the foot down).

Really the guy/girl needs to be put away!!

DaveI although I full understand that view/point your making but either warrant that sort of driving...... i.e. if the line had gone silent with the gran then call 999 its better than causing an accident who does that then help?

I know what you're saying, but we would probably all say the same with the benefit of hindsight....I know when my (now ex) wife was in labour for my first nipper, I just about broke the sound barrier, or as close to it as you can in a 1.6 Escort :giggle: Looking back it was stupid, yes. I can honestly say hand on heart I've had a few instances that I regret when looking back. Who knows what any of us would do when faced with something we'd never contemplated before, before we've had a chance to think it through.
