I know there are several places to get a car HPI checked (hpicheck.com, cardatachecks.co.uk, RAC, AA, etc)...just wondering if one was any better than any other? Or are they all pretty much the same?

I use txt check, gives the basic info you need for only £3, then i mot check it for milage and mot failings and adviseries

Yes, but if that information turns out to be wrong, you're covered upto £30,000.

I doubt the text services are anything like that.

There's a multi-car check one you can use - that's the one I go for when hunting for new motors

5 full, proper checks for £20-25. Will look up the info and PM you.

you can get cover with the £3 text check aswell just need to do something online

I wouldn't use the text check services personally. I much prefer to have a printable, accessible copy of the report.
