fabia vrs springs fit 9n polo 1.9 tdi pd100

Featured Replies

I still have the standard springs from my old fabia vrs which had only covered 10k when i swapped them for eibach's. now my mum has recently purchased a 9n polo tdi sport pd100 that has some naff lowering springs fitted which looks awful imho. the front sits low while the back is higher which leads me to believe they might of been the wrong springs for the car!!

Now what I was thinking if my vrs springs would go on and look better. I know the pd130 coupled with the 6speed g/bok is a heavyer unit than the pd100 5speed unit but would this make much of a difference? I should imagine if it was the other way round i.e fitting pd100 springs to a pd130 would probably cause stress on the springs os affect handling ect.

So would it be ok to fit the vrs springs you guys reckon?

tThanks in advance.

vRS springs on a PD100 might make the front sit higher than standard

I thought the vRS springs were slightly lower than normal springs, by 10mm or something like that?

I would think they'd be ok for short-term use, but don't take that as gospel!

vRS springs on an SDi definately sit higher, but not overly so.

They will fit however how it sit due to front end weight is another thing.

You could check out eibachs site and see if they use the same lowering springs. If i remember right the polo pd130 does.

thanks, will have a look now.

Yes, I can read. I merely commented for comparison purposes. As the kerb weight of the SDi and the tdi pd100 have a difference of about 20kg there should not be much, if any, difference in the ride height.
