I know you can paint the roof linning with just normal black paint but what have you guys that have dont it dont about the plastics and the sun visors and so on?

Just think its going to look stupid with the roof black and the light grey plastic and sun visors on it!!

I've not done it, but ISTR you can buy special paints for vinyl. You should be able to paint the A and B posts, but I'd suggest trying it out on the back of one first in case.

I would try a scrap yard first and see if you can get a headlining from a car that already has a dark one fitted? You might at least be able to find the plastic bits and just paint the roof to match them?

Mine has dark roof, I'm not sure about all the models but if I remember correctly on the vRS the early ones (about 2001/02) had the light roof linning and the later ones (about 02 on) have the dark roof. It might be worth a try at the scrap yard or seeing if anyone on here is breaking one?

as ive seen some with the normal octavia carpet

mine has dark roof, but white carpet - would prefer a dark carpet but can't be bother to change it

i wouldn't try painting the headlining though - sound like either a recipe for distaster (spills etc) or will look carp

I have dark lining in my 05 vRS and the 51 vRS i got in Jan to break for parts to fix mine up was light and TBH I liked it better, makes the inside feel bigger to me. I would change it but OMG it was a pain to get the light one out of the other car so cant be bothered to swap it lol.

Dunno why but i prefer dark interior in my octy, shame it's not all dark lol
