In answer to the question, I believe that it does indeed belong to a member. IIRC, he started a build thread a couple of weeks back...

I'm savvy to a bit of pink every now and then, but that is something else.

Ohh dear lord that's shocking !

They've ruined that poor car. And £6K for a 4-year old 107,000 mile car? They're having a giraffe! Even if it was original and perfect they'd struggle, but it'd cost almost £1000 to put that right with new parts. Just horrendous.

£1000 worth of parts to put back right?

Change the grill back to standard, change the foglight surrounds, remove all the stickers and change the wheels.

Hardly £1000 worth of parts to change.....

is it me, or has that car got a pair of testicles......

There is easily £1000 worth of work to put that back to standard. New springs and shocks, wheels and tyres, you can't rechrome the grille so that'll be a new one as well - the badge alone is £10.

And if the paint under the stickers isn't 100% when they come off then you're looking at £150-£250 for a paint correction if you're lucky and it doesn't need spraying.

That car won't sell quickly, that's for sure.

"All eyes on me" ... sure are coz you look like a ****!

And you don't mention that it's had a remap in your advert - you probably should really, even if you've taken it off.

Each to there own, it got mixed views on here before, not sure I'd try selling it like that tho :-/

Matt

I don't think it's that bad - but it is very individual and personalised, which will put 99.9% of people off.

It's a bit like trying to sell a second hand gravestone... it doesn't really work unless you can find someone with the same name that's on the gravestone!

I have my original grill here with the badge, I have my original foglight surrounds here, the paintwork is perfectly fine under the stickers, as they've already been taken off, and I have a set of Audi TT Mini Comps that have been polished already here.

Now where is the £1000?

Once I've fitted all the parts, it'll be a lowered vRS SE, on polished mini comps with tints and wind deflectors.

You are all talking as if I've changed the car permanently, yet it's a few stickers, a few changeable parts and a set of wheels. You all need to get a grip....

now that is ****!!

some people dont have a scobby doo how to sell a car!!

To put the car back to STANDARD you will have to fit Skoda 16" vRS wheels, Skoda springs and Skoda shock absorbers.

To get your £6,000 you'll need to put it back to standard. No-one is over-reacting, we're just trying to point out that you've modified the car in ways that will make it VERY hard to sell. Plus, with the mileage on the car, you're asking for a load of money.

Agreed, its a good ad for a bad way to go about selling a modded car

No offence intended, I'm sure it will look very original when the bits are swapped

I haven't mentioned putting the car back to standard. I don't intend putting the car back to standard. There's plenty of modified vRS' for sale out there, and once all the bits have been swapped, it'll look a lot different.

I don't think I'm askin a lot of money for it. It's been looked after and I have loads of receipts for parts bought, work carried out, etc.

I do think you're all being a bit harsh.

I personally can't decide if it's tacky or cool in a kind of weird way, but some of the comments here are a bit harsh and unnecessary.

I agree it's never going to sell as it is and with those photos - BUT - with the pink bits taken off and looking a bit less personalised it should shift, even if it is lightly modified. Price is perhaps a tad high, but what's wrong with that? No one is forcing anyone to buy it. It's worth pricing it high to start with if you're not in a rush to sell, just in case someone is desperate to buy and gives you a load of cash. It's very easy to drop the price on the ad if you have no interest, but much harder the other way round.

I don't think people would be as harsh if it wasn't an SE... I think a lot of people think it's a bit 'taboo' to mod them haha. Personally I think it has potential. If the wheels and grill were changed and it was destickered then it wouldn't be half bad at all! Just a shame about the mileage.
