Delivery 6 months 4 Superb II estate?

Featured Replies

I wanted a Superb Estate last year but as they had only just come out that was a not possible . 12 months on

and just purchased a 7 month old Estate 170bhp 2.0tdi for only 19k (saved 6k, Thanks first owner) so dont see the point in waiting months away.

Why would somebody trade in such a nice car after 7 months old with 9000 miles on the clock . Was a trade in as well too Skoda dealer. Beats me - but its my gain. thanks

How much of this is down to engine selection? It seems prima facie that long wait times are for the 170 TDi due to its popularity across the entire VAG empire, thoughts or comments?

I've been told, that reason is DSG

...and I was told the 1.6 TDI was the weak link in the chain. Does anybody actually know the real answer? I have a Combi 2.0 TDI 140 SE manual on order. Does that put me higher or lower in pecking order, or does it make absolutely no difference at all?

I order a superb combi 4x4 170 hp last week and i received a first time delivery today .. and it is week 35.Notice that i want panoramic roof.

I sow that a superb limousine with similar configuration the estimation of arrival is to week 40.

For persons that order combi what was the time difference between the first estimation delivery time and actual arrival?

order placed - week 39 of 2010

Initial estimate at time of order - week 4

First actual build week - week 7

Second update - week 15

Final build week - week 13 (was built to this week)

Delivered to dealer - week 16

Due for collection - tomorrow ;)

I was told 12 - 14 week lead time when I ordered, this turned into 26 weeks!

I was told 12-14 weeks, Superb Estate DSG 200 TSI (2.0 TSI). Every options... Except sunroof.

It took 13 weeks for delivery, has been driven my Superb for some weeks now :)

This is interesting stuff ... I was told by the Corporate Sales guy in Leeds yesterday that the version I've chosen (Superb Estate S GreenLine II 1.6 TDI CR 105PS DPF) has a current lead time of 14 weeks, less than I was expecting.

It would be useful if there was a post on here showing the past & current experience of Superb order placers (& other Skoda cars) regarding the quoted dates & actual delivery dates, with changes in between.

Is there such a post?

If people follow this kind of pattern:

order placed - week 39 of 2010

Initial estimate at time of order - week 4

First actual build week - week 7

Second update - week 15

Final build week - week 13 (was built to this week)

Delivered to dealer - week 16

Due for collection - tomorrow ;) [sat 23rd April]

Car: Superb Elegance Estate TDI CR 170 DSG (no panaramic roof)

it would be useful to see the changing (improving?) situation as more cars get delivered ... perhaps others could add their experience here?

Cheers,

Paul

Hi

Its a long wait

I ordered my Superb 4x4 Estate 170CR in last week of September and it arrived last week, so 7 months seems to be the wait.

Very nice car, hope I made the right choice!
