Not for the first time i've noticed an unpleasant burnt popcorn type smell coming from the engine area.

Just got the car back from MOT service, so was thinking it might be spilt washer fluid/coolant or similar.

Cant remember when i last smelt it, if i'd topped up the washer fluid recently!

Could it be something nasty?

when do you notice the smell most? is it when on boost, sat idle or all the time?

When I had a coolant leak it smelled like burn rubber once the engine was warm. All gove now the leaks sorted.

+1 smell gone now though and so has my collant issues touch wood!!
