how to stop rear headrests rattling!

Featured Replies

Basically as above! Took them out and there isn't a sound from the back now! But obviously I want them in place, how can I stop the vibration?

Get some high density packing foam, such as you see new hard drivers encased in their box. Cut two oblongs out of the foam, 4 inch long 2 inches wide. Place between bottom of headrest and the top of the seat and push headrest all the way down until the foam is compressed.

I'll have to try this, as I have taken mine out for the same thing.

Seems like it's coming from the metal "prongs" to me though? I guess the foam will stop the headrest moving, and thus the "prongs" moving?

It is indeed the prongs rattling in the seat inserts. The foam just adds some pressure to tension the prongs against the gubbins inside the seat.
