Felicia - power steering

Featured Replies

can anyone help with - which of the felicia's came with pas as standard?

should I get her a 1.3/1.6?

thanks

Im pretty sure all 1.6's come with PAS as std.

Quite a few 1.3's do and im pretty sure just about all the face lifted ones ive seen have has PAS also.

Personally id try and get a 1.6 over the 1.3.

Our 1998 old look Felicia 1.6GLXi doesn't have it. I think it became standard on new look Felicias - easily recognised because of their radiator grill - from 1999 onwards. Don't buy a 1.6 without PAS unless the driver to be is built like a Sumo wrestler!

Don't know which models do have pas but my felicia LXi (estate) T reg (facelifted) definately doesn't have power steering.

Our 1.9D GLi had power steering and I can't remember having it as an option.

Cheers

My S plate 1.6 Felicia has PAS

My 1998 S reg Felicia GLi had PAS, which made an odd hissing sound when it was cold. :D

Our 98 S (newer front) GLi 1.9D has power steering, I'm glad to say!

My P plate 1.6 mpi does not have power steering, and with bigger wider wheels on, parking can be a two man job.

my 95 LXi did not have PAS and to be honest was ok, i thought, although it was still not as good as the favorit, that again did not have PAS.

then the 96GLXD which has PAS as std, and wallows around coz of it, i'd have liked not to have has PAS on this one :(

the 99LXi had it as std, and its ok, feels heavier than the 96 diesel in fact. and whoever said hissing yes it does when slow and parking at full lock.

I wonder did the felicia gain the progressive PAS as per golf??

I say coz old GLXD has a wobbly steering wheel when slow, you can turn it with your little finger, but it settles down past errr?? 60km/h
