We went out to try to spot the Eclipse earlier although unfortunately it was entirely clouded over when the Eclipse was at it's peak (7:33pm).

The Eastern Sky was a beautiful pink just after sunset though.

Whilst driving home we spotted the clouds had cleared and a partial Eclipse was visible 👍

Not a bad Sunset either 👍

Difficult to get a clear shot of the moon this evening although it was pretty colorful behind the clouds🌛

No such difficulties last night though 🌛👍

First visit in ages to Attenborough Nature reserve this morning.

Spotted what I thought might be a Lapwing in the far distance? Along with a few others

Japan completes first-ever fighter jet deployment to Europe

Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force has carried out its first fighter deployment to Europe in its 71-year history, with F-15 jets touching down at RAF Coningsby as part of the Atlantic Eagles mission.

Didn't bring my camera so had to rely on the phone🤦‍♂

Stunning 👌

Especially love the Audi 👍

Thanks PP, couldn’t quite get into the groove tbh, went down various rabbit holes with camera settings. The Quattro image made it worth it though.

I did as well, it was rammed so I was unable to get to the fence to grab any photos. Did you also go to Waddington for the Cobra Warrior exercise?

If you're asking me, then no - it's been a while since I've been down to a base. I am a big aviation photographer though - I've got a couple of images published or hanging in someone's office on base.

Mind you, it might be time to say goodbye to the R6 and 90D - Occy needs new wheels!

I didn't unfortunately.

Just noticed how appropriate the sun band is for this shot; excellent :)

Thanks Mike. The sun was low in the sky first thing and not the best, though you gotta work with what you get.

Pixel phone on Astromode

Would ideally need to head out somewhere with less ambient light but not a bad effort from the back garden (balanced on a jar 😁).................

All kinds antennaes and sensors for sniffing out radar and comms frequencies etc for military purposes, ie., jamming them etc.

@pinkpanther it's a shame that the Avro Vulcan wasn't able to be used, love that plane.
