new vRS estate in black, need some pictures

Featured Replies

Has anyone got some good pictures of a new vRS in blask with silver roof rails?

Ive just ordered one of these and am having second thoughts about the color but i cant find any high detail pics of this car in black showing how good it can look when clean and polished. There are few craking shots on this forum of the estate in anthracite and thats got me 2nd guessing my origional colour choice.

thanks

That's exactly what I was looking for thanks. Still not sure black is the way to go TBH I'm assuming chips and scratches will be more prominent on black vs' the grey, anyone have any experience of this?

I think the black looks sweet but I have a grey one. The chips don't really show much on mine except when I am cleaning it.

Problem with black in my opinion is it is such a pig to keep looking clean so if you do get scratches you would be looking at them the whole time !

I have the black estate with silver rails B)

Chips and scratches do seem to stand out a bit more than on a lighter coloured car. What I have noticed is that it seems to have more stone chips on the bonnet than my last car(only had the vrs 10 months). Don't know if this is because of the shape, had a black '05 astra before for 5 years and didn't have so many chips.

Don't really notice until I start waxing it. Still love the colour though.

Hope this doesn't put you off.

I have a Black Estate and I think it looks the Dogs. . . .

Down side, it is a ****** to keep clean, Dust seems to cling to it. and sadly stone chips do show up more.

On a positive there is not taht many black ones about,

Definitely black. Understated stealth.

I love the car in black.

My current vRS Hatch is in black and when it's just been washed and polished it looks stunning.

However there lies the problem, once it gets dirty, and they do, incredibly quickly, it doesn't look quite as good.

If you can get into the habit of washing your car quite often then you'll love it in black.

For this reason I decided not to go for black again this time around and I'm currently waiting for my Grey Hatch to be delivered.

Base protection is the key with black. I'm on my 4th Black Magic Skoda, so I might know ;)

I've fully detailed each of mine, and it's then easier to keep clean and the finish is smoother as a result, so it stays cleaner for longer.

The main difference against an 'everyday' example in Black Magic is glaze, sealant and three coats of wax emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I'd go for it. But then I might say that :D

Will look great emoticon-0103-cool.gif
