THIS is the vRS blue I'd love to see on a Yeti:

From: http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/195439-picked-up-the-new-vrs-today-at-last/

This was pretty much what I had been hoping for when they mentioned Lava Blue in the press update. Thought they were going

to offer us a blue that was dynamic as opposed to the confirmed petrol blue which from the small sample looks anything but. :thumbdown:

I would then be less sad about the Tangerine. It seems odd when they obviously have the paint available unless they deem that only VRs cars can use that colour, it is in effect the badge of the car.

I think that is the case. It is a vRS "signature" colour. So alas we won't ever see it on a Yeti.

I guess i'm being thick, but what are 'ambition' and 'experience' trim levels?

It's my understanding that ambition and experience are the euro names for our similar S, SE trims etc.

Hi,

the following cross reference names may help;

E = Yeti

S = Active

SE = Ambition

Elegance = Experience

Other names are also used by some countries but what currently escapes me.

So if a petrol yeti is ordered say this week, what week build it it likely to get?

Could it be ordered in the bronze even though the skoda configurator is not showing new colours??

Aah thanks for the help

what colours that yeti in the back ground? is it the tangerine?

Yes. And I think its a shame its being dropped. Saw one in Tangerine three days ago and it looked gorgeous imo - a bold colour for a bold design! :)

Also a new colour to the range will be introduced, Safari...

When you mentioned a safari paint job, I had in mind something like this:

Think Skoda have missed a trick there!

CapnBuxton - You have too much spare time on your hands. :giggle:

The online configuarator won't be showing the colours yet since the old colours are still valid although there is no stock and any orders you make will most likely be built after Wk22.

Order time depends a lot on which engine you're looking for. Is it a 1.2TSi, 1.4TSi or 1.8TSi? I've got a 1.4TSi SE in Steel Grey you have any on the 1st April if you like.

Hahaha, that's awesome!

I agree. It seems a shame Tangerine has gone from the list before most people have had a chance to see it for real! And I suspect the new Bronze will be rather too close to the present Muscavado for my wife!! We had both agreed on Tangerine, and while I liked Muscavado she didn't. We've got a Storm Blue Octavia, which only really shows it's true colours in the sunshine - other times it just looks like a flat dark blue. I was hoping that the new petrol blue would be a brighter blue, but this now looks unlikely too unless James's samples got reversed.

...but this now looks unlikely too unless James's samples got reversed.

Which really won't surprise me since we are talking about SUK here... So proof is in the pudding.

Definitely reversed....That new petrol blue looks like the blue on his Porker 993. :giggle:

Tangerine will be extremely rare, I haven't even seen a Yeti in this colour in the flesh to so speak. Muscavado works brilliantly with the Gobi interior and silver roof rails.

I'm sure we will get swatches in the near future and I think the Yeti will pull off the new colour extremely well.

James, prob the 1.4, whats the timeline for SE in bronze??

Is the 1.4 or 1.2 the quickest to get??

James, prob the 1.4, whats the timeline for SE in bronze??

Current average lead times for a 1.4TSi SE Yeti are circa ~15 weeks.

We are currently Wk12. If you wanted to order a Yeti in the Bronze I would take the order but not actually submit the order for a few weeks just to ensure that your Yeti is built after Wk22 in the new colour.

So lets say we ordered in Wk14 (4th April) 14+15 = Wk29. Delivery would be third week in July and this would be a MY12 Yeti in the new colour.

Hope this helps!

1.2TSi takes longer to come. The 1.4TSi and the 1.8TSi 4x4 are the quickest to get of the petrol variants.

UPDATE - 22 MARCH

The Yeti SE (MY12) will have 17" Dolomite alloy wheels not 16" alloy wheels as stated above.

My fault as I misread the information.

Thanks for clearing this up James :thumbup:

A projection of what the 'Petrol Blue' may look like. Obviously too much time on my hands too.. :)Petrol blue.jpg?dl=1

That will only be petrol blue IF James's colour swatches are the wrong way around. I like it though.

So is Petrol Blue one and the same as the Lava Blue mentioned in the Skoda Auto press release? If it is then the swatches

may well be reversed as you can't imagine them describing a colour as Lava and it being dark rather than bright.
