Porsche calipers - Will they fit?

Featured Replies

Basically I have came accross THIS and im unsure if it will all fit on to my fabia vrs. Maybe not the best idea posting up the link as somebody will probably buy them before I do but sod it. Any help much appreciated,

Thanks

Ross

EDIT: I had no joy looking up those part numbers on the listing.

yes they will fit with carrier adapters( carriers )which cost about £100....only certain wheels clear them tho...

there are new brembo on ebay everything inc....

brembo inc

If they go on a mk4 golf then yeah they'll fit. Dunno if you've researched them, few different sources saying rears are no good as front brakes. Others say they will, personally I think I rather my fronts be fronts in the first place.

Hmm, Just been offered a full complete set of Leon Cupra R brakes (disc's pads calipers) for £450 what do you guys think? how much will postage be on something like this?

Get your flame suit on Ross for daring to mention 911/Boxster S rears :p

What's the condition like on the Cupra R brembos that you've been offered? Only ask as the red fades over time and they may need to be refurbed.

Purchased for £0.99 :D thats gonna cause some questions :wonder: :giggle:

i bought a set but put 256mm vented rears on the back and put ferodo 2500's with the 312mm fronts....

cant believe brembo's will be any if much better...

oh the brembo's are miles apart from the 312's!!

the 4 pots are amazing love that bite around town

your going from 1 piston to 4 and uprated disc size

To be honest, with 312's the fabia is overbraked for it's size, unless your doing constant track days or drive like xa0sx then you'll be hard pushed to over head decent 312's.

On the other hand, the extra bite as jase says is much better from what iv read, and tbh the main reason I'm after some eventually it cos they look amazing stuffed under 17's

Matt

its that initial bite that a single pot caliper just can't compete with

when you first drive a car with 4pots you'll almost certainly face plant the steering wheel

personally i love them! cant wait to get a set on the lupo and do a handstand

Yeah it is backs too, Cant tell ya if the rear calipers are brembo or just a VAG item, They are bigger and from a cupra r thats all I know. If anybody knows anybody selling adaptors/carriers for the calieprs please let me know.

Thanks

Ross

I`m pretty sure if they come off a LCR the fronts will fit straight on wont they? As for the rears they are the same as octy vrs, 256mm vented, you need calipers and carriers but they fit straight on.

Matt

If you have found a front 323mm kit and a rear 256mm kit for £500, then go for it!

I'm currently on the look out for a MK4 golf based 2wd 256mm vented rear conversion kit, they are not that easy to find.
