DSG Hesitation, could this be it ?..........

That's what I was wondering.

Could it be that if you stick the accelerator right down all the electronic gizmos like XDS and traction control cut in and say "not a chance mate, if you put that much power down you'll just spin" and so the power is reduced and it feels like a delay? I know watching the videos on youtube of the accelerating Fabia VRS they all have the traction control cutting in as they start of at full pelt.

Also wonder how much of it is the lag at start off that you get with a turbo car? I know my old turbodiesel Octavia did just what's described to me on the weekend as I pulled away from a roundabout and I know I had similar problems when I first had a turbodiesel corsa back in 2002.

I have to say I hope it's not a massive problem as I get my fabia VRS on Wednesday having waited since mid January!

Got a vrs in order so watching this thread.....

Didn't have a problem on the test drive. Maybe we are all treating the box like an AUTO when it is not an auto its a DSG.

People seem to get the delay when planting their foot from stand still very suddenly.

That may work in an auto but if you just dropped the clutch then pressed the accelerator in a manual car you would probably bog down?
