Ordered a vRS Estate!

Featured Replies

Very happy, had a good test drive today with the misses and both agreed it made good financial sense to order a bigger car under the VAT offer.

Gone for a Candy White vRS Estate.

Options I think are cruise and armrest, maybe change the wheels spec but overall not much needs adding.

Very smooth, quick car, dead impressed!

Nice one  i ordered my red vRS estate at the end of jan

had cruise control on my mk1 hardly used so i avoided. I usedt to drive with one hand on the gear knob in the mk1 but wouldnt be the same in the mk2 to so i went for the armrest, right little treat, glad i ordered it.

Hope you dont get fed up with the wait, Enjoy the beast when it arrives.

Im yet to see a Fabia vRS estate in the flesh.

That's not bad, 20 weeks wait for the 1.2TSi DSG, dealer blamed it on DSG delays but it looks like they can find them for the vRS. :S

I have a Candy White Passat, stunning in the summer but be ready for those buckets in winter.

Cheers

I was thinking the same and the new vRS registration thread could do with one or two. UK delivered ones seem rare to non-existent?

Mines still on order since 10th of Jan but no build date yet.

My dealer had a red vRS estate that went last week, had a sneaky look in it which planted the seed for looking at one!

Glad i've gone for white as not many about and its a popular colour these days with Golf GTI's etc, keep in with the trendy crowd ;)

Looked at an Elegance estate today for comparison in size. The new hatch is bigger than my current MK1 vRS so the estate looks huge but makes sense in the long run! Won't need to change the car again in between.

i also have a white vrs estate with black wheels, cruise, arm rest, parking sensors and bluetooth on order. Ordered the end of Jan and I still dont know when it will be built. Was told end of May, early June for delivery. Cant wait.

The delivery times (let alone build dates) seem alot longer for the estate version. Perhaps Skoda didnt realise how popular they would be?

My hatch was ordered 21-12-10 arrived at the dealership 1-03-11.

i thought i had to wait ages, i was starting to loose the excitment of ordering a new car. Hope you guys can keep the faith,

I ordered the end of jan my build date is week 20 so i am looking at delievry early june.

The wait is not that bad (but i do have a otcy vRS to play with :D )

I think he said late June to early July, suits me as its my birthday in July :D

Got my vRs estate a month ago... it's great in the candy white, so you've made a good choice. My only extras were parking sensors and a sunroof, most worth while.

Cheers,

Pete

Nice. This replacing the Mk1, or in addition?

Any chance of a pic of your vRS PeteBogg?

Toying with the idea of a white estate and wanted a sunroof too! Want to see how useful the sunroof is.

Many thanks.

Nice one, we've also ordered a candy white vRS estate. We've kept options to a minimum (missus naturally controls the purse strings haha) just went for things we felt were essential for us; went for parking sensors, elec rear wins and dark chrome wheels.

Waiting for it has been painful though, ordered it 30th Jan and it's not due to show up until mid May, was originally scheduled for build week 20 (w/c 16th May) but got moved to 18 (w/c 2nd May). Not sure if its build week is confirmed yet though.

Replacing the MK1 vRS.

I'd be torn between what to drive if I had both!

I did think about parking sensors and a sunroof but it comes full of extras so doesn't really need any!

Looking at the problems with dark chrome alloys i'm sticking with silver. White ones look poo on a white car and black will be to boy racer for my likings... (says he with the black wheels on his MK1 vRS!) :D

Congrats Ad Lav, thought you were sticking with the mk1 though.

The white is nice.

Congrats.

Popped in today and changed the wheels colour from silver to dark chrome :)

Hi Ad Lav,

Genuinely I would rethink the wheel situation. The standard wheels do look very bland, not as bad as the white ones but just very plain. The dark chromes in my opinion are the best looking wheel, perfect compromise to the black wheel. At the end of the day if you are unlucky enough to have problems with them so what, car will be under warranty for 3 years just let Skoda replace them as it will be their problem ultimately.

I have a missus who does like to curb a wheel occasionally (most irritating) but I've taken the plunge as I couldnt bare the look of the car without them. I may live to regret it but not as much as I'd regret having the standard wheel to look at day in day out.
