gauge reads 90 in middle

It should be 90 , its OK ,

I think the fan rotates constantly ,while engine works

okay so i shouldnt worry then i think i shall fit new thermostate just in case ha ha fitted new fan switch and green sensor so might aswell do that to iron any problems out

No, there's no point if the temp gets to 90 and stays there, you're just creating work for yourself.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

90 is exactly what it should read, are you sure the fan going isn't the aircon fan?

90is spot on most VAG cars run at 90!!

The fan doesnt really have to come in unless its a hot day!

the fan that will run is the aircon condensor fan, if you turn the arcon off this will stop and a lot of the time the air pulled through the rad by this fan is enough to keep it cool and it wont use the rad fan unless its really hot!!!

If it aint broke dont fix it!

if you stick the climatronic onto auto, then both fans should start up. if only one or other or none start then it could be a failed fan motor. With the AC on both fans should run all the time.

Have had mine for over 3 years, have never seen it go above 90, have never noticed if fan runs or not either :)

I assume yours starts at 0 and gradually rises to 90 when you start from cold, if it does I woundnt worry.

Think skoda over engineered the cooling system, haven't had my fans come on and haven't seen the gauge go the slightest bit over 90. Only thing mine does is to go down when I'm doing 90+ on the autobahn lol

My fan is seized and covered in cob webs. It's never come on in 7 years. Even in summer in Barcelona. The temp never goes above halfway. The larger fan comes on with the A/C though. I think the cooling system must be generously specified.
