Octavia TDi Estate 2001 Headlamps On Warning Buzzer

Featured Replies

My Lights-On Warning Buzzer has failed, resulting in me leaving the lights on a few times! But as it no longer makes a noise, finding it has become a real challenge! Can someone tell me where it is please? Also on the electrics theme, the rear wash / wipe works fine, but the single wipe when engaging reverse has failed. Reverse lights still operate OK. So I suspect a dodgy relay, but again where is it??

Many Thanks for any assistance.

Does your interior light & door warning light work when you open the drivers door? if not you could have a faulty door micro switch & when your lights are on & you open your door the buzzer wont sound as it thinks the door is still shut.

My car does not have single wipe when engaging reverse. Does anyone know if this is a fault or a feature that was not fitted in the '03 year Elegance?

I don't think my 2001 Elegance has this feature either. Would you get a single wipe on the rear window if the front wipers were engaged?

Mine can only be operated manually. I am glad that is the case as there is nothing worse than a wiper scraping over a dry screen just because you have made a gear change into reverse. It is no hardship to just push the wiper control forward when needed.
