Climatronic clicking noise

Featured Replies

I have a clicking noise. from dash in the passenger side. There are many posts with different ideas about the reason/source. My octavia only have normal aAC with dials. No climatronic. Might a a vcds reset work for me ?

One thing of note is if there are ANY stored fault codes for the engine the ECU disables A/C until the fault codes are cleared.

Sorry for replying to an old topic but can anyone confirm the above? Doing some diagnostic work on my car at the moment and that would certainly explain some things if true. Thanks :)

Okay, so the last couple of weeks or so my climatronic has started clicking a little at startup (which then stops), but sometimes if you change the temp and/or fan direction it'll click awa y souple more times. Is this likely to be the same and needing someone with VCDS or is there summat else? What actually IS physically behind the passenger side dash? Just thinking it's a little odd for the temp to make a difference as well.

Just to add, it hasn't missed a beat in the 7 1/2 years I've owned it prior to this.
