Just thought id put a post on here because ive just recently joined the site. Ive been checking out the main forum page with all the little helper guides, there really good.

Iv got a red 55 plate Fabia VRS. Ive just tried to post a picture up but it wont let me. So ill be sad and just talk your through it lol

Engine wise its totally standard ive just been saving up to get it remapped and im just trying to find the right place to go to without travelling far!so if anyone knows any places in sheffield or close by surrounding areas please do let me know.

Ive got full leather black seats front and rear seats and leather trim on the door cards too with a red stitch and the alloys have been sprayed gun metal grey and thats about as modified as it is so far.

welcome to briskoda whereabouts in sheffield u from, ill keep an eye out for your car if out and about. the best placed i can tell u to go for a remap is shark performance, they are really good and have a good reputation , plus there only in mansfield so not that far.

Ok do they have a rolling road do you know? Because i know a couple of people who just have them plug in remaps off the internet and they've had problems with them, i know it obviously depends on who does them n stuff but im wanting it done ona rolling road.

Yeah i am, well im an apprentice but ill be qualified June/July time. Its one big workshop but i work on the volkswagen side of the workshop so i dont deal with Audi's.

Do you work in a garage yourself ive got a mate that use to work in a workshop up handsworth.

i work at chatfields daf/ldv on orgreave industrial estate as a truck technician

i use to see a red vrs parked near the iron bridge shop which was red with gunmetal grey/black standard alloys on ages ago but not seen it for a bit.

Oh yeeah that was more than likely me,but we've had a drive put on the back garden so it doesnt go on the front anymore. i live on the next block after the corner shop, as though your going to the Jet petrol station.

Have you had any engine work done at this shark place you mentioned?

I dont honestly dont even know where to start looking, a few people at my work have mentioned Jon Noble in chesterfield and on a rolling road remap would cost 299 for first stage. and thats about average price iv seen so far locally.

ive not had a shark map on my car but know other people that have and they say its really good, just read through the forums about shark performance, plus the chap who owns the company goes to the monthly meet that i go to which is just of junction 28m1. could pop down this month and ask him in person then maybe will give u a better inclination of what he can do etc.

Well im not really suppose to drive anything over a 1.4 because of my age, but if ive worked on the vehicle, i had to road test it, So ive driven the golf R and all the GTI's n stuff, i just work on Volkswagens, i work for gilders and we have a van centre so its very rare we ever see vans tbh with you. think the only thing i havent driven in the VW range is the Scirrocco R and all the audis cos as i said i dont work for Audi, even though its one big garage, we work on vws on our side and they work on the Audis, but theres people in there 20's road testing R8's n stuff lucky ****ers lol

Yep. we all get sent down for a week to Milton Keynes at their trainin centre and they chuck us all in a hotel nearby all fully paid for so its good. when were down there though we work on all the brand cars, so sometimes i might even work on skodas and seats rather than just Audi and VW. Skoda and Seat techies go to the same place too.

cool, i use to go to bristol for training for 3 years and did had to stay with a family down there they would not put us up in hotel , it was good, do u have a car to go down in or use your own, we had to use our own lol but got fuel money so not that bad

Ahh thats ****, no they proper wipe our arses lol.

We get a car..Tends to be a Fox and travelling nearly 200 miles in a fox with no air con and a 1.4 = bad times

and they give us fuel money, some people even get receipts and stuff so everything they buy they get to claim back aswel but that depends on your company. Ah yeah brand proper look after us and during the week they take us paintballing and stuff and its all free lol.

Ah right, its weird we dont get the porche lot, but McClaren send there apprentices to us and so do bentley and one of the other supercar big names i cant remember which one though i dont think its one that VW own though :/

Think i worked out how to post pictures, im trying to put one on my sig thing but it wont let me keeps saying its too big, but i try cropping it and it wont let me croop it to the max spec allowed.

Thought id chuck a picture of the interior now i know how to do it lol.

Apologise for the piston heads bit, i bought it off there and never bothered to take a picture of it myself lol.
