Hi, can anyone help me? I have an 04 plated Vrs. today i was driving along in the dry when for no reason the wipers came on and have since stayed on. The intermittant doesn't work but i can get the wipers on double speed.

For the time being I have had to remove the fuse. My gut feeling is the wiper stalk by the steering wheel anyone any ideas or experienced this before?

Almost certainly rear wiper motor is full of screenwash. Remove the trim on the tailgate, unplug the rear wiper motor and normal service should be resumed at the front.

Infact we generally get two of these threads running side-by-side, so I am expecting someone else to post shortly about a wiper issue (and I am not going to include the linkage issue from a couple of days ago!)

I have a 02 Octavia that had the same problem a few months ago..This model does Not have the rear wiper..

In My case,I also presumed it was the wiper stalk,,but as it turned out,,It was the relay which was underneath by the foot pedals.

But,I think with the 04 model,you be best trying the rear wiper soloution first.
