thinking of swapping the backbox to an ibiza FR one (purely for the look) im not a massive fan of the oval tailpipe on the vrs exhause and prefer the duel pipe look, would it be a straigh fit do you think, i understand i could buy a miltek but im not looking to spend loads, could get the FR one cheap

Don't see why not. Wouldn't it be easier to just weld a tip on the standard one tho?

My mate had his exhaust tips cut off any new ones welded on for £20 at the local ProSpeed branch.

Assuming the lugs for the brackets will be in the same place? Yeah might be easier getting a tip welded on.

I would be more concerned about the bumper cut out. Theres a good chance it will be in a slightly different place. I agree with getting a new tip if its just for looks.

I have an fr backbox that I took off my ibiza, only trouble is it would need welding to your system due to where it was cut off.

I would love to put the Milltek Oval (special 118) tipped and the twin pipe vRS back boxes side by side to compare them. Reading that thread, I think they are unfortunately incompatible. I would much prefer an Oval tip as it will look at first glance like the OEM one.
