Featured Replies

What're the stats on one of these? Couldn't shake one the other day. I backed off, so don't know how much more he had on me... :( :o

they are 150hp but will out handle a std octy.....

and they are lighter too...

From an old copy of Autocar:

0-60: 8.3

0-100: 23.5

I had one of those, as did ColinD. It was my first car after I passed my test .

All I can say is:

Same engine as the Sunny GTI. I drove one of these about 10 years ago & it was quick.

sadly not the same engine as the gti-r though

Looked faster than 8.3, looming in my rear-view!

If the Fab vRS's supposed to be around the same 0-60, I think it could've killed me. Suppose it could've been modified... :(

Not quite the same I know but my mate had a 2.0 Primera SRI 150 bhp and to be honest, I dont think it would have beaten my Fabia at all. It wasnt bad though.

If it was a P11 SRi then it would have been 128BHP. Having driven both, I can tell you the extra oomph of the GT made a lot of difference.

As for tuning, I don't think there was much you could do for the GT because it was naturally aspirated, although I read about one guy who bolted a turbocharger on

Well my mates was modded so maybe thats why he said it had 150 bhp. Not sure if it was a P11 or not TBH... not clued up on those models. I did quite like the look of the GT though (the one with 170 bhp). I also liked the appearance of the Sport+ model, pity they didnt do a GT version in that shape, as it was the best looking one of all IMO (it was the one before the current goofy shaped one).

From Autocar again:

2.0 SRi (128bhp)

0-60 9.9

0-100 28.9

The SRi is also slower than the GT from 30-70; 9.8 vs 7.9
