Anyone got any experience with Turbo Technics?

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Has anyone got any experience with Turbo Technics? I've found a hybrid on their website at quite a good price, and am tempted to buy it.

Please tell me if it's the right turbo aswell?

Details are:

Skoda Fabia vRS, engine code ASZ, part number S210, GT1748V, VNT, 038253016S, £611+V.A.T.=£733.20

OR

VW Golf, engine code ASZ, part number S210, GT1748V, VNT, 038253016E, £496+V.A.T.=£595.20

Which would be better?

I rang them to ask about making a pd150 hybrid. They said their pd150 hybrid would only be good for 210bhp which I thought was strange as many on here run quite a bit more than that! The guy I spoke to wasn't very good!

I never understood how turbos were rated to BHP

A mate used them, turbo went, they tried all they could to get out of replacing / fixing it

Got mine yesturday, all seems good so far

The S210 is a PD130 hybrid not PD150 hybrid as it is the one i had, and as far as i know the manifolds are the same on the 1.9 tdi's......

Just looked they list a S211 for the 150bhp hyrbid but not 100% if it will fit the fabia but like i said above i think all the 1.9 tdi manifolds are the same so should fit??

I have been running a Turbo Technics PD130 Hybrid for about 12K now with no problems what so ever, Ali from Unit 18 sourced the part but it was built to his spec which included a 360 degree thrust bearing and a different impeller. not sure what difference this makes, if any
