SUMP!

Featured Replies

Jst knocked the sump on my 130PD, split it and lost the oil!!

Wheres the best place to get a sump? I take it its a stealers job?

And does anyone know if there is anything worth changing while im down there, like the oild pump! or the oil pick up?

And does the oil pick have the same problems as the RS one?

Cheers

Just wondered if it was worth doing the oil pick up, but i suppose theres no need to replace it when its only a gauze filter and it can be cleaned!

I dunno if the oil filter problem is so much of an issue for diesels? Only seem to read about 1.8T owners who are suffering problems, while there are many high mileage diesels out there...

Are you on LL or fixed servicing? How many miles has your engine done?

180k, LL for me (not checked the state of the pickup)

I craked my sump the first time out in the car lol. Cost me £145 all in to fix it.
