What about the beeping and warning light? I assume I can connect the pins together or use a resistor?

No need

The warning light only comes on when the wire in oem pad wears through and completes the circuit

So why is my warning light on? :(

Could you have a perished wire rubbing ?

I need to have a proper look - after I nip back to the guy who fitted them and get my locking wheelnut key :S

I think they need bleeding again anyway - they don't feel right at all to me.

Soz guys that's not right. The wear indicvator is a full circuit. Mine have a wear indicator on them so mine is plugged in.

My old ones didn't so I cut the connector off my std pads and joined the wires then taped it up n plugged it In.

As for the alarm, I don't recall there bein one for the wear? Could be wrond.

Your pedal travel is due to not being blead correctly I would say. It needs doung a few times and start with the MC. There is prob a bit or air in there and when doing the brakes just tap the lines.

The pedal in mine feels same if not better than with the std brakes on. Mind it did take 2l nearly of fluid to get it right. Also when doing the gront callipers, do both nipples at once.

Dopnt forget I did the rear lines too hence the ammount of fluid.

Good luck rob

I have a beep and a yellow circle indicator light which I assume is supposed to be a brake disc.

Weird the there's no wear indicator. Also he said he had to take the brackets off and reverse them for them to line up. Bleed nipples are on top though which is correct.

You might of had them on the wrond way so that's no biggi. They will only fit one way I think. You have braided linet too don't you so the small metal holder isn't needed.

Mine are new OE lines and are in 2 parts, one is an L that goes into the calliper and up inbto this bracket where the flexi hose screws togeter and the bracket holds it all in place. Ill go on laptop in a second n post a pic.

The carriers shouldn't be able to fit any other way. And yes the nipples should be up.

If you don't have an old connector just put a paper clip in and tape it up. It is an anmber light with a circle and 2 () either side, I don't remember an alarm tho. I had an alarm this time due to the abs being unplugged but afer plugging back in and running a few feet it went off. I thought a sensor was broke at first.

Def get them blead again mate.

Billy

You can knock the warning light off with VCDS

It's in the rostech wiki under the A4 section iirc

That is the back. so from looking at that you cant fit them wrong. They are not side special. you can just see on the first pic on the Right the bracket I mean.

On this one Ive marked the 2 pipes and the bracket is connected to the carrier to hold it all secure and stop the green marked hard line from being loosened or bent.

I took it back today and he bled the brakes another two times (so four total) and now they're spot on.

Will report back after a proper test with no dog in car :)

One more prob has arrisen lol

I had a wheel wobble above 60 and figured it was the spacers. I fitted the taperPro hubcentric spacers today and the wobble is still there.

Now can a warped disc cause the wobble? The brake judder has got better from the start but not cured all together so I think they are warped a bit and rest was just crud on them.

I will be changing the wheels tomoz to see if its that but they weren't that bad before.

Billy

wheel spacers can cause wobble, but as they are hubcentric, its as i suggested before....your discs are warped.

Its very common with brembos due to the overheating of the single piece disc.

Crud can cause slight effects, i take it this is only happening under braking and not all the time. Otherwise it could be a wheel out of balance.

i have conducted many more years testing than stop-tech...and i do not concur :giggle:

Fit DS2500, don't worry about the wear indicators
