PD100 0-60 Shocked! :D

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

My 2001 PD100 Fabia Elegance did 0-60 on private land in 9.5secs. I timed 9.2 first then 9.8 (9.8 - I let it go over 4000rpm in 2nd gear, useless I know)

Big question is, is it remapped?

The seller I brought it off said it drove like a vRS, but obviously not that quick. There must be a remap to it or the engine could be one of those that produce 115BHP standard???

Any ideas

:)

Was it based on the speedo, and how was it timed? Could make a big difference to times, and gradients.

good chance its true as the vrs is said to be 9.6 secs but its been made clear in alot of reviews that its much faster so 9.3 for the pd100 wouldnt really suprise me

Remember book figures are to 62mph not 60.

Most PD100 engines actually run more than 100bhp, the same way the PD130 produces more like 135/140bhp

Sounds like it could be mapped, as stock is about 2 seconds+ slower than that. I would also use GPS to 62mph, not speedo.

+1

I managed a 10.2-10.5 to 62 with 120bhp

Haha... it is pretty nippy. But will try the GPS method. Still though im well chuffed. :D

Mind you it leaving some soot behind when floored in second/third so I think it is remapped.
