Featured Replies

Hi all,

Collected the new car, really pleased so far!! Few pics taken for you, don't know why people keep talking about the 25 week wait for the 105bhp TDi? I got mine in 4 days ;);-)

Looking good! I have same engine but in an elegance you will love it!

very nice like the colour. I have a VRS on order with same set up. Went into the local dealer to order a Green one with black roof and they had a red monte in. liked it so much i ordered on in that colour. Sadlly though 25 week wait

Can you fit the DRL/ fogs set up on a Mk 2 Fabia Vrs??, I quite like the look of it

No, You would need to fit the whole bumper as well as the lights.

The trim where the DRL/Fogs fit looks the same size as a Vrs though

Looks stunning, mine will be identical except it'll be the 105 TSI and have sat nav instead of the normal cd player :)! Bet your well chuffed

Very nice car they do look good in red   :p

vRS bumper is a lot different.

Loads of people going for red Monties though! :D

Its only available in a few colours, I was torn between red or white but settled on red as think it looks the best

like that looks nice  id probably change the drl `bulbs to led ones or brighter white/blue ones

Great looking car. Did have a think about a Monte before I ordered my Elegance. Decided I needed creature comforts rather than looks.

Don't make the DRL's too bright or people (and plod) really will think you have your foglights on. Enough people flash me for my standard ones as it is :dull:

I would eventually like to replace the DRL's with an led set-up, pity the VRS DRL's are different... Wonder if the bulbs fit though?! I probably would have opted for a Candy white Monte should I have wanted to wait 25 weeks, however, was only offered Monte's in Grey, Red or Black so no real choice for me. Anyone on here had a 105bhp tdi re-mapped??

Nice car. I have to be honest though I dont like the black body kit, makes it all look a bit bolt on. Think the monte looks best in black.

should get a chrome looking tail pipe from skoda they fit the 1.6crtd105 notr sure about the monte because of the rear difusser ,im going to get one if they do

what are the keys you got like are they flip and how many did you get?? just wondering, btw you took some good pics

I test drove this exact spec of car today :D

Only 300 miles on it, so it was tight as a drum, but I wanted to see how the ride and handling was compared to the vRS. I have to say that if it isn't the exact vRS suspension, it isn't much different. Very composed, firm, less roll, good grip, but still comfortable.

The TDi engine is a bit louder than the TSI, but good power all the same and my enthusiastic (in places) drive showed 55mpg, that's good too. The only place it was worse than the TSI was that the heavier engine made it less nimble on turn-in. Other than that, I really liked it :)

I'll be after a TSI Monte / Fabia Sport when it's time to change.

Yeah mine is still tight and will be for some time, Im a diesel man through and through & the only way I could see me buyng a petrol was when the sales guy told me that I would not be any better off with a tdi unless I drove a min of 19k miles per year!!
