I think the fact that Octavias seem to account for around half the taxis in the UK tells you all you need to know about the general build and reliability of the cars.

Everyone else has already made the rest of the relevant points.

Another thing to consider with jap cars at the moment is spares availability, if they are having to shut factories due to parts shortage & I guess priority is given to the factory for parts then replacement bits for customers may become a big problem, Im dreading it with the 350 as non current models are likely to be at the back of the queue for parts. Thankfully the parts are so expensive that many very lightly damaged ones are being totalled after accidents so s/hand parts are readily available To give you an idea on Nissan parts, 2 has struts for the tailgate, over £350, thankfully a mate can get them regassed for £70, Makes a grand for an Octy turbo seem incredible value

...think I should take a test drive and then and see if I like the way they drive then make a decide one way or the other
