Any Excel experts help me fix formula?

Featured Replies

Have a spread sheet with start, lunch and finish time using [hh]:mm for the times.

I then work out hours worked - contracted hours using =IF(F2-E2<0,TEXT(E2-F2,"[hh]:mm"),F2-E2)

How can I make total red and in minus figures where hours worked are less than contracted hours?

I also need to add them all up giving me a total, but for some reason only minus totals are being added together.

Any help is appreciated.

In regards to the 'red' - I would use conditional formatting.

What's the sum that you are using for total?

Edit: Just upload the spreadsheet, unless it's confidential data.

Can you attach the spreadsheet? I'll have a quick look for you.

I spend all day working on Excel ... oh joy

Forum wont let me upload the spreadsheet for some reason.

If you can PM an email, I'll fire it over. Nothing special, just for my own records.
