Bye Bye vRS!

Featured Replies

Hello all!

Due to a new job and them providing me with a brand spanking BMW 3 series or Audi A4, it is with some sadness I am getting rid of the Octavia as it's pointless keeping a hold of it :'(

Had the car for a year now and I can quite safely say it has been an absolute gem of a car and I would recommend one to anyone who is looking! I'm not leaving the Skoda clan completely though as I am ordering a Fabia vRS to replace it with as a little bit of a project :giggle:

Incidently I have an 18" vRS alloy wheel, never used, still boxed in original packaging, if anyone is interested please PM me :)

On another note I want to particularly give special thanks to Ben @ Shark Performance who has made an already great car into an amazing one! The car has 32,000 miles and has never missed a beat with amazing performance! As soon as the Fabia arrives I will be taking it to him, as personally I wouldn't now go anywhere else for a remap!

Opinions welcome of course ;)

Have fun in your new ride emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Can't quite see the logic of getting rid of the Octy though, as it's pointless - but then ordering a brand new Fabia?

Out of interest are you staying with VAG or going to the Beemer?

I made the decision by taking the Fabia out and although obviously not as fast in a straight line it's great fun on the twisty stuff! By pointless I simply meant having two cars the same sort of size! :giggle:

Probably going for the Beemer if I'm honest mate as I'll still have something VAG with the Fabia! I'm not the worlds greatest fan of Audi's either if I'm honest, not because I think they're bad cars, they just dont float my boat

I've had BMW's in the past too and always been impressed

I miss my BMW, The Vrs is no were near a BMW ....but neither is the price but the BMW handled better, steering was better, build was better, i think next year i will be going back to a BMW again.

I have to say mind I cant fault the Octavia for quality at all, I think mine is extremely well put together and an absolute pleasure to drive.

I would say though, I think BMW are totally unrivalled in terms of how a car is engineered!

Not sure I'd agree entirely on that last point, but anyway....

Scheduled name change for you then? 'vtec to vrs to 320d!' ? :)

Interested in the wheel if FUBAR doesn't want it ;)
