Quite possibly, although alot of them weep a bit.

Could be the gasket needs replacing?

theres a rubber o-ring in the gap where the egr bolts on, easyest way to sort it is to just get rid of the egr completely, there just trouble anyway!

Time to give the EGR a good clean up.

Yeah not sure how long its been like that, i've only just got the car. I've given it a good clean so i'll how it goes over the next few weeks. Got no error codes so maybe is just weeping a little.

Did think about deleting it but read on here that it could be a MOT failure due to emissions changes?

What's the mileage on car. Looks quite normal if it's a high miler.

There is a hole in the bottom so the diaphragm can operate so it will leak a little over time

oh its 95K. Guessed they'd blow a little but i thought that was quite a lot of oil. Not had any error codes so could it be ok?

Well mine is on 92k, and there is no oil around the EGR at all.

Mine was removed at 37k

Ill even carb clean it so its as new offers still there if you feel slighty bum raped after the quote from Skoda

had cover off today , egr is spotless but there is oil on the front of the engine jusy behind the ac unit , ideas ?
