Featured Replies

Hi all

Fitted miltec turbo back yesterday all was well until this morning!

Fault codes,

P0562 system voltage too low

P0300 multiple misfires

P0302 cylinder 2 misfire

Car now runs like a bag of nails and eng management light is also on.

Any help would be very helpful.

Recall is not quite so quiet after that thread :)

Hope it is a coil pack, will try and swop no 2 for no1 and see if the problem moves.

I moved coil pack 2 to no 1 and got fault code p0301 so the problem has moved.

Checked coil packs and all are letter A.

Is the car driveable its just faintree Skoda is around 15mile away?

Get 'em called and book it in.

I'm surprised it's stil running at all with those old coils in.

If you must drive it, unplug the injector on that cylinder, so you don't get any fuel in the cylinder, and go steady with it

How old is the car anyway?

The car is an 04 this is the first coil pack i have had let go. Had the car 4 ½ years.

Not done bad then.

Do the coils have a date on them? Mine had a 4 digit code on the bottom right of the label Mine are 3603, which I presume is week 36 2003.

After speaking to faintree Skoda this morning about getting coil packs, they said I couldn’t drive the car with a faulty coil pack. And they wouldn’t let me go over there pick up a new coil pack, to fit on my car so I can drive it over to them.

This all seems a little crazy to me.

Also they don’t have any in stock until tomorrow.

Not happy.

they dont stock coil packs for these? we stock 20 all the time

Yea and they will not lend me 1 to get my car working.

I would have to buy a coil pack so I can drive it to them.

Then they will change 3 coil packs and I wouldn’t get my money back for the one I purchased.

thats the biggest con in the world! i'd drive it to them anyway or make them foot the bill for getting it recovered there

Still not sure if I should drive my car. If I unplug the injector will I cause any damage to the engine?

No

Can you not buy an old one off ebay or get one from a scrapyard?

You won't cause any damage to your engine either if you unplug the relevant injector. Just remember to plug it back in when you get to the dealer.

Drove car to stealer it ran much better when I unplugged the injector.

Skoda will be looking at the car tomorrow.

Let’s hope they sort it,

stuck with my mom’s rover 25 at mo, 1.4 power.

Big thanks to everyone.
