At least the 6-7 month build time gives me some space to save up a bit so there'll be less to put on finance!

Nice- you wont be disappointed with the 1.6CR engine unless you like acceleration that pins you to your seat and burns fuel fast enough to keep Shell happy. The engine is very smooth and provides good even power delivery, although it needs to be well above 1500rpm to start the Superb rolling in the first place.

Fuel economy and virtually nil road tax more attractive than acceleration these days.

When I win the lottery I'll go for the acceleration!

My Elegance Greenline was ordered in Jan (Leasecar), order placed by the dealer with Skoda in Feb. Delivery was scheduled for June 6th, but last week - the build week it was pushed back to August for a delivery to the dealer in Sep. All the dealer would say is that build dates are fluid - it could move forward or even backward. So currently looking at a total delivery from order time of about 9 months. Hopefully yours will be sooner.

I was expecting 7 months rather than 6 to be honest - but 9 months?!

Surely they must try and boost production a bit.
